SBHA is delighted with the most recent Community Benefit delivered by our contractor Easy Heat. The installation of a defibrillator at Wellfield Hawick is a collaboration between EasyHeat, SBHA and the charity Streets Ahead.

Caroline Purcell, Director of Property Services, explains: “We are committed to community safety and were pleased to help facilitate the installation of this vital piece of equipment. As part of their contract, we ask our contractors to give back in ways that benefit the community. This is a great example of the value our contractors commit to and deliver within the communities we serve.”

Easy Heat’s Stevie Watson said: “Our ongoing commitment to providing tangible, valuable community benefits on each of our projects is something that we are incredibly proud of at Easy Heat Systems. Delivering the installation of a new defibrillator in partnership with SBHA and Streets Ahead will work to protect people in the Scottish Borders community and create a heart-safe environment for those living in the properties.”

Sandy Devers, CEO of Streets Ahead, comment: “At Streets Ahead, we have been serving people across the Borders for almost 35 years. Funding a defibrillator is a clear statement that we value the people we support, our workforce, our neighbours and the wider community. Partnering with SBHA, who installed the unit at their property, sends a signal that through collaboration, we are committed to the health and well-being of local people.”
