Universal Credit update
If you are currently receiving Universal Credit, you will have had or will soon get notification on your journal advising you of the information you need to provide on your new rent. This will appear as a new item on your ‘to do list’, as “report any changes to your housing costs”. It is very important that you respond to this and provide the information requested – we are unable to do this for you.
You need to do this no earlier than the date advised on your letter, but before the end of your Universal Credit assessment period in April 2021 or you will miss out on the money you are due, which may lead to rent arrears.
