Summer Safety – fire alarm upgrades
☀ It’s SBHA’s Summer of Safety! ☀
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be focusing on #KeepingYouSafe, looking at some of the hazards specific to summer, as well as the work that SBHA is doing to keep you safe.
Right now our contractor Easyheat is carrying out essential upgrades to smoke alarms in your homes. These are in line with enhanced fire safety regulations, and are mandatory upgrades which must be carried out as part of your tenancy agreement. By law, all of our homes must have these carried out by February 2022.
You will receive a letter either from SBHA or from Easyheat, inviting you to make an appointment. When you do, please call Easyheat on 0131 6602299 and select option 1.
Easyheat will be observing hygiene protocols and social distancing when they’re in your home. If you have any concerns, please call 01750 724925 and ask for Darren Vevers, Home Investment Officer.
Fire Scotland also carry out free Home Fire Safety Visits, helping residents with fire evacuation plans, checking smoke and heat detectors and helping to minimise the risk of fire in the home.
