Smoke alarm upgrades – #KeepingYouSafe

At SBHA we’re committed to #KeepingYouSafe. Right now our contractor Easyheat is carrying out essential upgrades to smoke alarms in your homes. By law, all of our homes must have these carried out by February 2021.

Fire Scotland Area Commander Stephen Gourlay explains why these upgrades are so important. “Accidental fires can have a devastating impact on the lives of the people involved, and the community as a whole – physically, emotionally, and financially.

“A working and up-to-date smoke detector can and has saved lives – every home should be fitted with them.”

If you have had a letter from Easyheat but haven’t yet made an appointment please call 0131 6602299 and select option 1.

Easyheat will be observing hygiene protocols and social distancing when they’re in your home. If you have any concerns, please call 01750 724925 and ask for Darren Vevers, Home Investment Officer.
