Scott inspires the next generation

SBHA Programme Manager Scott Tomlinson helped to inspire the next generation of young construction professionals recently, delivering a talk at Selkirk High School to young people with an interest in the sector.

A former pupil of Selkirk High himself, Scott talked students through his own route, which involved an apprenticeship in joinery and running his own business before joining SBHA.

He also talked them through interview techniques and the sorts of questions they might expect to be asked in an interview for a construction industry role.

Scott said: “It was a great session. All the students were very interested and engaged. It was a privilege to return to my old school and play my part in supporting the next generation of tradespeople.”

Well done Scott!
