SBHA Team Bitesize Sessions

During covid lockdowns, and with many of our team members working from home (and still doing so), we wanted to ensure that all of our people have the tools to help them maintain good health and well-being at a very difficult time for everyone.
Recently, we hosted a series of online Bitesize sessions with guest speakers who offered information and advice for our team members, told us about volunteering opportunities, and let us know how SBHA can work with them to support Tenants and the wider community. Our main aim was to help our colleagues, their families and friends, whilst also learning more about local services that can help you.
We would like to thank each of the guest speakers for joining us and taking the time to make this series of Bitesize sessions such a great success. There were 10 Bitesize ‘chunks’, including eight live digital events and two specially created information packs:
• The Food Train – Scottish Borders Branch
• The Food Train – Meal Makers
• Domestic Abuse Advocacy Support Service (DAAS, SBC)
• See Me Scotland – Time to Talk Day
• HeadStrong – Brian Costello
• Community Assistance Hubs (SBC)
• Home Schooling – resources, support and top tips
• Looking after your Mental Health (SBC / NHS Borders)
• Be Suicide ALERT (SBC / NHS Borders)
• March Mindfulness – courses, podcasts and useful links
Look out for future social media posts highlighting some of the local services and support available to you.
