Our future plans – Garages to Homes

All housing associations have an obligation to address the current housing needs of tenants and plan for future housing requirements which change over time. The lack of housing options for older people and people who use wheelchairs across the Borders is a significant challenge.  At the moment less than 10% of wheelchair users have access to wheelchair accessible homes.  With an ageing population, even more people will need appropriate homes.
