Langlee Living – working together with local residents to create a Community Garden!

We are delighted that the Love Langlee community garden features on the front page of the May edition of SBC’s Community Food Growers Newsletter. Don’t forget this year SBTO has introduced a new category of Best Food Grown in your garden or home. Are you growing anything for the gardening competition? Let us know!
Also, a couple of weeks ago representatives from our contractors Jewson Partnership Solutions and the Bell Group visited the Langlee garden site to start to plan the design of the space. This is part of their commitment to support projects in the community with SBHA.
In the photos below are: Jennifer Millar, Partnership Account Manager – East Scotland, Jewson Partnership Solutions; Jamie Hughes, Community Engagement Coordinator – East Scotland, Bell Group; and Louise McNeilage, Tenant & Community Engagement Facilitator, SBHA.
Tenants have told us that a community garden would be a welcome addition to the Langlee area. It’s going to be a great space for people to go, enjoy and relax, to plant flowers or to grow food. If you would like to get involved in this fantastic project and help to create and maintain the Love Langlee Community Garden, please get in touch with Kelly Mitchell or Louise McNeilage on 01750 724444 or email communications@sbha.org.uk.
Look out for more news and photos to see how the garden develops over the next few months. For more info and to join the Love Langlee Group visit: https://www.facebook.com/groups/lovelanglee/
