Croft Street Area Regeneration Update
Community Regeneration Update – Croft Street area in Galashiels
SBHA is pleased to confirm the appointment of P1 Solutions as the main contractor for the public realm and landscaping works within the mixed‑tenure areas of Croft Street, Huddersfield Street, Greenbank Street, Galabank Street, and Hill Street.
The landscaping improvements include:
– Refurbished walls, steps, fencing, and railings
– New storage solutions for bins, bikes, prams, and similar items
– Improvements to drying greens
– Surfacing improvements and new planting
Initial site checks commenced on Monday 30th March and full construction works started onsite on Monday 6th April. These improvements are expected to be completed by August 2026.
SBHA and P1 Solutions welcome residents to an open drop-in session on Wednesday 8th April, from 12noon to 3pm, held at P1 Solutions site office within Galabank Street. This will provide an opportunity to meet the team involved, and you’ll be able to review the proposed designs and raise any questions, concerns, or requests relating to the planned works.
Additional Martec door entry systems and replacement of external curtain screens are proposed for selected blocks; we will update relevant residents prior to this work commencing.
