Coronavirus – information for applicants
Due to the current situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Scotland and across the UK, we have made some changes to our service delivery. Our offices are now closed to the public, we are all working from home, and doing everything we can via telephone and email. Further measures are explained below:
Advertising and Bidding: To ensure that we protect our customers and teams, and follow Government advice about social distancing and staying at home unless for specified reasons, we have taken the decision to stop advertising empty homes for rent. No more bids will be accepted and any bids received since 12 noon, 16th March 2020 have been cancelled.
SBHA remains committed to ensuring that people in housing need are able to access the support and help they need to find safe and secure accommodation. We will continue to work with Scottish Borders Council Homelessness Service and other agencies to ensure that those most at risk are able to access our services whilst following government guidance on travel and communication.
If you are an SBHA tenant and have an urgent need to move from your current home, please call 01750 724444 and a member of our Solutions Team will arrange for your Neighbourhood Housing Officer to contact you to discuss this with you.
