SBHA SERVICE UPDATE, MONDAY 11TH JANUARY 2010

The situation is exactly the same as reported on this website on 10th January. All SBHA Offices are to open, and the Repairs Service will focus on dealing with Emergency Repairs (i.e.properties where there is no water supply, no heating, burst pipes, no electrical power, or significant water penetration/damage in the house). All non-Emergency Repairs which were scheduled to be carried out this week will be rearranged for a later date, to allow our Tradesmen to get to prioritise those Tenants/homes in greatest need. There is no need to phone in - SBHA staff will contact you to offer a new date. Tenants are asked to phone SBHA's Repairs Line only if they have a new Emergency Repair required. If you have previously reported an Emergency, we will be organising action to deal with it, and will attend as soon as we are able. Our Tradesmen are being hampered by the snow which has not been cleared from many streets in housing estates, meaning they often have to walk considerable distances to get to Tenants' homes.
