SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE, 8TH JANUARY 2010, 8.00AM

SBHA's Area Offices at Church Street, Galashiels and West Port, Hawick, as well as the Head Office at South Bridge St, Selkirk, will be open for business today, Friday 8th January, from 10.00am till 3.00pm.  All SBHA staff who are able to travel are asked to attend within these times.

Unfortunately, it is still proving impossible to provide an Emergency Repairs Service due to the condition of the roads in the housing estates and the continuing exceptionally low temperatures.  SBHA understands that the Council is aiming to have the access roads to these estates cleared over the weekend which will enable SBHA to provide a  service by Monday.  SBHA's Repairs Staff will be working today on prioritising Tenants' emergency repairs to help those most badly affected.

We regret very much the severe reduction in SBHA's services to Tenants this week, and will be working to restore these in full as soon as possible.
