Unfortunately there is no improvement in the weather and travel situation, therefore SBHA is unable to provide its Repairs or Housing Management Services until further notice.

Further snowfall is predicted later today and temperatures (already well below zero) are set to fall further.  This will cause further problems for SBHA Maintenance staff due to frozen diesel in their vans, as well as the ongoing difficulties of digging them out and negotiating icy/snowy roads.

Preparations are underway to mobilise additional resources to give priority to outstanding Emergency Repairs just as soon as the weather and staff travel/mobility situation improves.  Unfortunately, it is looking like this will not be before Monday 11th January, depending on the weather between now and then.  However, please keep checking this Website and/or listen to Radio Borders for any updates.

Update information will be provided on this Website and on Radio Borders.  This news item will be updated at 6.00pm this evening, and formal confirmation of the services to be provided on Friday will be posted here at 8.00am tomorrow morning.
