SBHA held its AGM last Thursday night (20th September).
Chair Simon Mountford, CEO Julia Mulloy and Director of Finance delivered a presentation detailing growth and activities over the financial year 2017-18, followed by a look to a vision of the future.
The evening started with tributes to SBHA’s founding Chair, Oliver Angus, as well as long-standing SBTO member Lyn Elliot, both of whom passed away earlier this year.
The evening took ‘Young People’ as its theme, and the audience heard about some of the great work that the Association does in helping young people in the community. This included the undoubted highlight of the evening, a presentation by Jane Blair and Jim Gibson, workers with the 16+ Transitions Project, which supports young people leaving care with the transition to independent living. Jane introduced two young people, Craig Bennett and Liam Crawford, who shared their own inspirational stories.
The meeting confirmed the appointment new Board members, Angela Sulo.
