Nicola throws some shapes at Earlston Youth Club

Nicola Wii croppedOur Neighbourhood Services Manager, Nicola McIlwraith was (getting) down with the kids at Earlston Youth Club last week.

SBHA recently made a donation to the Earlston Youth Catchment, which supports the setting-up and running of youth clubs for 10-17-year-olds in the Earlston Catchment area. The donation was to enable the club to purchase a Wifi hotspot and speakers, which as club leader Anya explained, could be put to a variety of uses.

“The kids will be able to listen to music and things, but it will also enable the older ones to access the internet to complete employment-related tasks, such as looking for jobs, and, for our helpers, recording the hours that they spend volunteering for their CVs. It’s going to be a big help for them, so thankyou very much!”

The equipment will be shared by three groups in the area.

Nicola got the chance to show off some of her moves alongside some of the young people with Just Dance on the Wii. Hey Nicola – it’s this way!
