We want the area in which you live to be in good condition and to be a place where everyone wants to continue to live and visit. We are committed to ensuring that you continue to enjoy living in a peaceful, clean and tidy environment and aim to achieve this by working with you and other community partners, to improve our properties, estates and neighbourhoods.
Your Housing Officer carries out regular estate inspections to identify and deal with any issues that are concerning the community. We encourage all Tenants to take part in these inspections and give their feedback.
If you would like to attend an estate inspection in your area, please contact your Neighbourhood Housing Officer.
Creating and maintaining good neighbourhoods involves a range of activities that reflect the needs of the local communities. We have worked with our partners in Scottish Borders Council and the Police to develop a Neighbourhood Improvement Model to improve neighbourhoods in a planned and prioritised way.
Tenant and local resident involvement is key to this, helping to:
- Identify their aspirations and concerns for their local neighbourhood;
- Tackle locally identified social and environmental issues using local solutions;
- Improve the quality of life of those living in these areas by creating safe and sustainable neighbourhoods.
We want to know how your neighbourhood could be improved. To give us your feedback or find out more about how you can become involved in improving your neighbourhood, please contact your Neighbourhood Housing Officer.
