Our maintenance team
We offer you a team of almost 100 skilled, qualified trades operatives who know and understand you and your home, allowing us to directly control work priorities, quality and customer service. We train our staff to operate safely in your home, meet agreed quality standards and to be sensitive to your circumstances. Our team provides a 24 hour, 7 days a week emergency service – essential for those emergencies when you need a quick response and a problem sorted.
The team carries out around 20,000 response repairs a year to your homes. They ensure that over 700 empty homes a year are repaired to our lettable standard and also deliver a significant part of our Planned Maintenance Programme, including the installation of replacement bathrooms, kitchens and electric heating systems.
Alongside the financial benefits an in-house team brings, the Maintenance Team also provides a strong source of local construction industry jobs with a secure employer. This is further strengthened by our successful Apprenticeship Programme, which to date has provided 19 placements for young people across the Borders.
